About

We are a dedicated team of professionals committed to helping patients reach their health goals!

Our office is an Integrative Medicine practice - meaning that we use combinations of traditional and alternative therapies, including cannabis, to improve chronic illness. With the addition of cannabis, we are able to help patients minimize the need for narcotics, tranquilzers, and some other pharmeceutical medications by utilizing a more holistic approach to wellness.

Our team is lead by Heather Auld, MD who has 30 years of experience and is Board Certified in Integrative medicine by the American Board of Physician Specialties and The American Board of OB/GYN.

Teresa Spano, ND, CNS,  adds a new dimension to the practice as a Board Certified Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and focuses mainly in herbal medicine, high quality non-pharmaceutical supplements, and specialty testing.

We also have two Cannabis educators - Destiny Rozar and Nicole Cox. Their role is to assist you every step of the way, in product selection, application submission, and navigation of the Florida Cannabis Program. They take care that you are comfortable and confident in your treatment regimen and are available for questions whenever they arise.

Rounding out the team is Lynn Snyder, MA, who will treat you like family and help you navigate through all the different components to our practice.

Welcome to our little family - We look forward to meeting you!

Dr. Teresa Spano, MD

Dr. Teresa Spano, MD

Naturopathic Consultant

Growing up, Dr. Teresa Spano knew she wanted to be involved in healthcare, just not in what capacity. She grew up active, often playing sports. As many young female athletes do, she ended up with two knee injuries, requiring two surgeries for cartilage and ligament tears. After admiring her orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist, and chiropractor for how much they helped during injuries, she solidified her plan to help others with their health.

Dr. Spano received her undergraduate biology degree at SUNY Oneonta, while she shadowed physical therapists, family practice doctors, and chiropractors. She received her doctorate at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport CT. In 2014, she moved to SWFL where she met Dr. Auld and together they started the Integrative Medicine office for Lee Health. In April 2019, SWFL Integrative Medicine in Fort Myers opened.

Dr. Spano is the Vice President for the Florida Naturopathic Physicians Association, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, and has a license in Nutrition through the state of Florida.
